Welcome to the West Seattle Women’s Golf Club (WSWGC), located in beautiful West Seattle. The West Seattle Golf Course opened in 1940, with the women’s club established in 1941. The course boasts the most incredible views from several holes of Mount Rainier, Downtown Seattle and Elliot Bay. Our club membership reflects a diversity of the surrounding neighborhood and welcomes all women sharing a common interest in golf. WSWGC supports all types of golfers, accommodating those who are relatively new to the sport, but also providing a competitive venue for those who have been playing golf for the better part of their lives. Membership in the club includes GHIN through Washington Golf (WAGolf) and the United States Golf Association (USGA). Our club is also a part of the Greater Seattle Women’s Public Golf (GSWPGA) and the Washington State Women’s Public Links Association (WSWPLA), which both offer even more opportunities for competitive play.

When do we play?

We offer preferred tee times on Tuesday or Saturday mornings. As well as Wine and Nine on Friday and Saturday evenings (with discounted green fees for nine holes of golf).

Who can Join?

Membership is open to women with a current GHIN Handicap Index and who want to play golf. A new member who does not have a current GHIN Handicap Index may join under “probationary” status, actively in the process of obtaining one by submitting acceptable scores from a minimum of 54 holes to the GHIN system.

Handicaps

All members must have a valid handicap to participate in our club weekly competition or monthly tournaments. For competition purposes, handicaps are limited to the maximum allowed for competition by the USGA or as set by our club.

Pace of Play

One of the most important concerns at any golf course is pace of play. All members are expected to keep up with the group in front of them. Consistent slow play may impact our Women’s club status with the pro shop and hamper with our preferred tee times.
